Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi Spoof Kim Kardashian
Just about everyone in the world is wishing they were on Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi’s Christmas card list this year. The comedian and her actress wife decided to go a different route with their holiday cards this season. They have been going back and forth for a while now over exactly how they want to do their Christmas card this season, and it seems they’ve found a winner.
Not on the winner’s list was the card the comedian debuted last week on her talk show. It had a photo of the couple on the front along with the caption, “Silent Night,” and when you open it, the card says, “Because we don’t have kids.” Hilarious, but not quite what the star was looking for to send her friends and family to spread holiday cheer.
Instead, the 56-year-old talk show host and her wife decided to take a page out of Kim Kardashian’s book (cover?) and create a card that hasn’t been done in the past. On her show today, however, the funny lady showed of her new card.
“Portia and I started working on our holiday cards. I showed you the first one we made last week. Here’s the second one we’ve come up with. Again, we’re just trying. We don’t know what we’re gonna do yet,” she said as she debuted a card with the two standing in front of a Christmas tree with their naked rear-ends showing (their faces clearly superimposed on Kim K’s body from her recent magazine cover) and red holiday bows covering their backsides.
“It says, ‘Happy Holidays,’ and then, ‘And a Shiny New Year.’ It’s a shiny new rear,” DeGeneres joked. This makes for the second year in a row this couple has spoofed the famous couple. Last year they did their card on a motorcycle, spoofing “Bound 2,” the music video Kardashian and her husband Kanye West made together.
