These Four Robin Williams Movies are Still to Come….
Though the world has tragically lost actor and comedian Robin Williams, his work will live on. His amazing catalog includes the collection of incredible performances that audiences know and love, as well as yet-unseen movies that have not yet been released. The award-winning actor has four movies due out relatively soon that promise to showcase his wonderful comic and dramatic range, as well as beloved voice-over acting.
Here is what the Robin Williams collection still has in store….
1) First we have Merry’ Christmas, a road-trip film about a dysfunctional family. Williams stars as the father with a hilarious supporting cast by his side , including Community‘s Joel McHale as his son (that’s all I need to be excited). Also on board? The Goldberg‘s Wendi McLendon-Covey, Lauren Graham, and Oliver Platt. The film is due in theaters Nov. 7.
2) Next, comes Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, the sequel to the 2006 hit. Williams returns as Teddy Roosevelt, a role he excelled at. Secret arrives in theaters Dec. 19.
3) The drama Boulevard, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, tells the tale of a married man’s involvement with a street hustler. In addition to Williams, the film also features Breading Bad‘s Bob Odenkirk and Picket Fences actress Kathy Baker. The release date is undecided at this time.
4) Williams will lend his voice to a dog in a new comedy directed by Monty Python alum Terry Jones. Williams has excelled at voice-over work in the past, so this should be nothing short of great. Absolutely Anything also stars Simon Pegg and Kate Beckinsale, and is the story of a teacher who gets supernatural powers from aliens. Its release is set for 2015.
As for the reported Mrs. Doubtfire 2, it looks likely to be dropped without Williams. This is probably a safe bet, as there is no Mrs. Doubtfire without the legendary comedian.
