Jason Aldean to Marry American Idol’s Brittany Kerr
It’s been two years since photos of Jason Aldean and American Idol’s Brittany Kerr being a little too close for comfort considering Aldean was married to his high school sweetheart were made public. At first Aldean apologized for cheating on his longtime wife, but then he decided to come clean and the two ended up divorcing. Before the divorce, he made a public statement to his wife that he was sorry for his mistakes and that he loved her.
Now, the country singer and his American Idol girlfriend and getting married. He asked her to be his wife on Tuesday while the two were visiting the San Diego Zoo. The news isn’t shocking to many following the dissolution of Aldean’s 12 year marriage to his ex-wife. However, he managed to keep his relationship with Kerr a secret for almost a year-and-a-half until news leaked earlier this year that he and his mistress were actually still dating. Now the couple is getting married.
When this news broke earlier this year, Aldean posted a message on Twitter that reads, “So sick of people judging me and @brittanylkerr over things they know nothing about. I have made mistakes but I am a better person because of it, and wouldn’t change a thing. I’m happier than I have ever been, so thank u to all the people who support us. We are happy and life goes on. It’s time to move on people. #aldeanarmy #oldnews #timetomoveon.”
Soon after he popped the question, Kerr posted a photo of herself at the zoo and captioned it with, “My man did it again. Today was amazing. #sandiegozoo #myeverything.”
There are no details about their wedding, but we are certain that they will eventually break the news about their engagement. So far neither has come forward to confirm their engagement.
