Jon Lovitz and Jessica Lowndes Engagement Was in Fact a Prank

Let’s give a warm and hearty congratulations to Courtney Stodden today.  She still remains atop of the “most screwed up marriage” list in Hollywood.  Although yesterday was somewhat of a scare to her title.  As we reported, Jon Lovitz and Jessica Lowndes announced their engagement.  Through a series of Instagram posts Lowndes made her fans believe that there was a new, older man in her life.  She later revealed with a picture of a giant engagement ring, that it was comedian Jon Lovitz.

Everyone was skeptical about the rumor and today, to pretty much no one’s surprise, it’s been revealed that, yes, it was a hoax.  The world can collectively sigh in relief knowing that this 31 year old age gap relationship never existed. However, I still have some questions.  First of all, how do these two know each other?  And second, why did they concoct this prank?  Oh right, here’s why:

1. No one knows who Jessica Lowndes is.
2. No one knows who Jon Lovitz is

Lovitz had himself a nice run during the 90s and maybe even early 2000s but the man is barely visible to the public anymore.  Lowndes is who?  I don’t think I’ve ever heard of her other than the fact she’s very attractive and has a great body.  I’m sure the two were hoping to parlay this into some publicity which certainly worked.  As to whether or not it’ll actually get them work?  Something tells me that people are kind of rolling their eyes at this and it just doesn’t matter in the least bit.

But as most game show hosts would say, “Thanks for playing!”
