Natalie Portman is an American and Israeli actress with an estimated net worth of $54 million. She was born on June 9, 1981 in Jerusalem. Her mother is a homemaker and her daughter’s agent, and her father is a doctor who specializes in fertility and gynecology. Her mother is American and her father is Israeli. Her parents met at the Ohio State University. Her mother was selling tickets to students at the Jewish student center and sold some to her father, and the rest was history. They decided to remain friends when her father left the university to head back to Israel, and when her mother visited him several years later they decided to get married and begin their family.

When Natalie Portman was born, her family remained in Jerusalem for three years and did not return to the states until she was three so that her father could finish his medical training. Before she was even 10, she moved from Jerusalem to Washington D.C. to Connecticut to Long Island. It was a lot of movement for her, but it was something that the family felt was important to her father’s medical training. Throughout her childhood, she always attended the best schools and did not shy away from learning about her heritage.

She also decided to go to college at Harvard University from which she graduated in 2003 with a BA in psychology. She was already a world famous actress at that point, and she became even more famous for doing this and spending time on campus to obtain her education. She is currently very good at many languages, though she is only fluent in Hebrew and English.

She was asked at the age of 10 to become a model for Revlon, but wanted to become an actress so she turned down the job offer. Natalie Portman, instead, focused on her career so that she could become the best of the best. She spent many years working on Broadway and as small role characters in movies, and she finally made herself famous when she became the star of the show “Star Wars,” prequel. It was then she became a household name and began accepting offers for movie roles left and right. Since then, she’s starred in dozens of hit movies that have allowed her to become even better at what she does than anyone. She won an Academy Award for her role in “Black Swan,” after dancing 8 hours per day for six months and losing more than 20 pounds to appear frail and tiny in the role.

Natalie Portman made headlines when she began dating her married choreographer during the movie that earned her an Academy Award. They announced his divorce, their engagement and their first pregnancy back in 2010. They now have one son together. They married in 2012, and they announced that they were expecting their second child in September of 2016, but they have not announced at this point whether or not the baby is a girl or a boy or when they can expect its birth.
