New Kids on the Block Head to Las Vegas

New Kids On The Block, 98 Degrees And Boyz II Men Perform On NBC's "Today"

Hey NKOTB fans, get excited – your favorite “Step by Step” men are heading to Las Vegas! The band, who first broke onto the scene in 1984, is celebrating 30 years together this year, and have decided to throw a big, fat party for fans in Sin City. “It is cool because it is still the same because no matter how old you get, there is still a kid inside of you,” Jordan Knight told People about performing together as a band for decades.

The New Kids On The Block, consisting of band members Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, Jordan Knight, Danny Wood and Jonathan Knight, have sold over 80 million records and have been making girls scream and dance for the better portion of their lives. To celebrate and bring fans together, the group developed an annual cruise for fans in 2009. Due to the success of these cruises, the band decided to develop a Las Vegas four-day party honoring their anniversary.

“We have a blast on the cruise and people are clamoring to get the tickets every year so we felt like we should do something like the cruise on land – and we automatically thought Vegas,” Knight, 43, says of the long weekend they have planned for NKOTB fans. They are calling the party, “After Dark.”

Beginning on July 10, the band will spend four days throwing pool parties, after concert parties,  and other events for fans in addition to performing at the Axis at Planet Hollywood. The Axis is the venue that has currently been occupied by Britney Spears‘s recurring concert show.

Tickets for the NKOTB Las Vegas weekend will be available for American Express pre-sale on March 28 and to the general public April 4.

“At the end of the four days, I’m sure we will be almost dead,” Knight told People. “But it is fun and kind of intoxicating just hanging out with all the fans.”
