Raven-Symone Tells Media to Leave Her Out of Bill Cosby Hype
By now most of the country is well aware of the shocking allegations that Bill Cosby assaulted as many as 15 women over the course of his career, including supermodel Janice Dickinson. Women, it seems, have been coming forward one right after another to open up about the comedian and his treatment of them during his long career, and it’s not been favorable yet. One star, however, has taken to social media to discredit rumors that she, too, is included in the long list of women accusing Cosby of assault. Raven-Symone, 28, was only 4-years-old when she began starring on The Cosby Show with Bill Cosby, but she’s grown up a lot since then.
“I was NOT taken advantage of by Mr. Cosby when I was on the Cosby Show! I was practically a baby on that show and this is truly a disgusting rumor that I want no part of! Everyone on that show treated me with nothing but kindness. Now keep me out of this!” Raven-Symone posted to her Instagram account along with a photo of herself as a little girl from the set of the show.
Many people have sounded off that they can’t believe Raven-Symone is standing up for Bill Cosby after he’s endured years of scandal numerous times in the past as women have come forward to discuss that he’s assaulted them, but that is not what the young actress is doing at all. She’s not standing up for Cosby or discrediting any of the women who have come forward. She’s simply stating that Cosby did not inappropriate to her when she was a child on his sitcom or as an adult. She’s merely standing up for herself and the rumors that have been swirling that she might be yet another actress that the comedian has taken advantage of over the years.
