Celebrity Homes That Were Once Owned by Other Celebrities

Hollywood is a small world and apparently so is the housing market. Celebrities seem to prefer to buy homes that were previously owned by other celebrities as well. Maybe these houses are appealing because of their rich history of famous owners. They could just be keeping their homes within their social circle. Here are some celebrities whose mansions were previously owned by other stars in the past.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin

The former couple bought their home from Kate Winslet way back in 2004. They also bought that house next door and one on the opposite side to create the ultimate living space. We know that they recently “consciously uncoupled” so we wonder if the house will be going on the market soon or if someone will keep it for themselves. Rumor has it though that the two might just be rekindling their romance.

Jessica Simpson

The singer actually bought two houses that were previously owned by big stars. When Simpson first split up with Nick Lachey, she snatched up Ellen DeGeneres’ Hidden Valley home for $5.275 million. She lived close by Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. She had to sell it though once she started to expand her family, but ultimately upgraded when she nabbed the Osbourne’s home for $13 million.

Jim Parsons

Luckily for Parsons, the split of Twilight couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart opened up their beautiful home to the market. The Spanish-colonial style home was initially owned by basketball star Kareem-Abdul Jabaar until Pattinson bought it for $6.275 million. Let’s hope Parsons won’t need to have a reason to let go of this home.

Josh Hutcherson

The Hunger Games star bought his Hollywood Hills home from Heath Ledger. It is dubbed the tree house for its structure and its truly a paradise for nature lovers. The property was also previously owned by Michelle Williams and Ellen DeGeneres. It’s truly a catch and this isn’t something Hutcherson would want to let go of.

Kaley Kuoco

The recently split Khloe Kardashian seemed happy to sell her home to Cuoco and her husband Ryan Sweeting. Kardashian and Odom sold it to the couple for $5 million. The driveway can accommodate more than ten cars. It also has an outdoor kitchen and a fire pit.

Khloe Kardashian

Kardashian made a lot of neighbors happy when she bought Justin Bieber’s beautiful mansion in The Oaks located in Calabasas, California. I guess people were happy that Bieber won’t be around to throw crazy parties anymore. The home was also owned by Eddie Murphy so the property has had its fair share of celebrities.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon

This couple owns a sprawling Hamptons style mansion that has its own basketball court, putting green, gym and many other amenities. The property was previously owned by former Charlie’s Angel Farrah Fawcett. The sad news is that they recently put it on the market for twice the price they paid years ago for $13 million.

Selena Gomez

Gomez bought the 7000-square-foot Tarzana home from Jonah Hill in 2012. I guess she bought it to be close to her then boyfriend Justin Bieber when he still lived in his Calabasas mansion. However, she did have to sell the property when things went south.

Christina Aguilera

Aguilera also got a piece of the Osbourne’s properties. She bought their Beverly Hills home for $11.5 million and it’s the home featured in the latter’s reality show in MTV. However, a split from her hubby Jordan Bratman years ago prompted her to sell the property for $13.5 million to an undisclosed buyer.

Ginnifer Goodwin

Once Upon a Time’s Goodwin purchased Busy Philipps’ Hollywood home. The property was also owned by two well-known female celebrities: Rachel Bilson and Rose McGowan. The Spanish-style casa is now home to her new husband Josh Dallas and the baby they have on the way.
