Andre Agassi

Agassi was once regarded as the best tennis player until he hit rock bottom. His marriage with Brooke Shields was falling apart and he was using drugs in addition to being plagued with injuries. If that’s not enough, he dropped to 141 in the world tennis rankings. However, he managed to turn things around when regained the top spot in the rankings. He also started a charity and wrote a New York Times best-seller memoir. Additionally, he is now married to Steffi Graf with children.

Lowe certainly was at the height of fame during his Brat Pack days. However, he was in a difficult position after he got rocked with several scandals and unstable projects. He was involved in a racy tape scandal and a couple of nanny lawsuits. He almost hit it big with The West Wing but his time on the show ultimately ended over creative differences. However, his time on Parks and Recreation seemed to revive his career as continues to book great projects and even has two successful memoirs under his belt.

Franco was recently caught up in a controversy wherein he was caught trying to hook up with a 17 year old girl via Instagram. He has been a target of criticism for quite a while, and it seems like his one time apology was enough for people to give him another chance. He has more than 10 films in his filmography and at least two more lined up next year. Perhaps his simple apology and acknowledgment of his mistake was enough for people to put it behind them.

Twilight fans had their worlds shattered when photos revealed Stewart’s affair with Snow White and The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. Most of the couple’s fans sided with her boyfriend Pattinson since he was the wronged party. While she didn’t get back together with her old flame, Stewart still seems to be getting a lot of projects after the incident. She can’t have it all, but at least she was able to keep her career.

Vick became the butt of every comedian’s jokes and every critic’s favorite in 2007. The NFL star admitted to participating in the murder of six to eight put bulls either by hanging or downing. He was involved in a dog-fighting ring which earned him 21 months in jail. He lost all his endorsements and filed for bankruptcy. He might not have redeemed himself to animal lovers,  but he managed to become NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year in 2010 and Nike decided to re-sign him after dropping him during the controversy.

However, she managed to get her life together and she is currently one of Hollywood’s favorite leads for romantic comedy films.

The pop star went through a downward spiral when she faced numerous problems and scandals. Spears shaved her head and had drug addiction problems. She also hit a career low when she gave a mediocre performance during the 2007 MTV VMA. However, she managed to get her act together recently. She has been releasing successful albums and selling out concerts in addition to her personal life stabilizing.

While Sheen’s life has been rocky for a long time, his career hit rock bottom when he was fired from the hit TV show Two and a Half Men. At one point, he claimed he had tiger blood and Adonis DNA. He currently stars in Anger Management. It might not be the ratings giant as his last show, but he’s lucky that he’s able to make a comeback at all.

Rourke was a big star in the 1980s because of his popularity and critical acclaim. Unfortunately, his career suffered because of his drug and alcohol issues. He also had problems working with others on set and even turned down iconic roles in movies that are considered classics. He also took a side step and pursued a career in boxing which ended up altering his face significantly. However, her made a comeback when he starred in Sin City. He continued to gain recognition as he took on more roles particularly for his roles in The Wrestler and Iron Man 2.

Downey is sometimes associated as a member of the Brat Pack and he enjoyed a huge amount of fame in the 80’s and 90’s. However, he had a long string of drug related arrests and scandals that lasted for several years. People thought he was going to make a comeback when his role in Ally McBeal was met with critical acclaim, but he went back to his addictions shortly after. In the early 2000’s, he started getting his career and personal life back together. His role as Tony Stark in the first Iron Man film cemented his return to Hollywood and launched him to even higher levels of fame and success.
