Wiz Khalifa Defends His Clothing Choices

When Wiz Khalifa emerged on the rap scene in 2006, fans loved his music and unique style. Hip-hop lovers were drawn to his different style of dress and many fans began to copy his outfits.  Khalifa, whose father owned a clothing store, has always enjoyed expressing himself through fashion. In an interview, Khalifa stated: “Yeah, baggy jeans are done. Nobody wants to wear big, baggy jeans. Baggy jeans are completely over with. Bigger shirts, you know, aren’t bad — not too big, not like swallowing you or anything like that. Skinny jeans with a kind of oversize shirt is not bad.” However, everyone doesn’t seem to agree with Khalifa’s sentiments on tight clothing and many of his fans and over the last few years Khalifa has received a lot of criticism over his clothing choices. But even in the face of negative attention Khalifa has refused to change.  Here are five tweets from Wiz Khalifa defending his clothing choices.

While most people do try to dress based on their surrounded, it sounds like Wiz Khalifa’s clothing always consist of pajamas, and that actually might not be such a bad thing.

Over the last several years, fans have criticized Wiz Khalifa’s choice to wear tight clothing; however, Khalifa’s style of dress has always been one of the things that has set him apart from other rappers.

Confidence is key, especially when you’re a celebrity with the eyes of the world watching your every move. Wiz Khalifa has proven time and time again that he will not be bullied into changing his style.

For every person that makes fun of Wiz Khalifa’s clothing choices, there are plenty of other people who find his style inspiring and want to dress just like him.
