Facebook Debuts As Public Company With Initial Public Offering On NASDAQ Exchange

Facebook, Twitter, and the other various social media outlets are seriously changing the fame game. Facebook, in particular, keeps fans connected with the stars they love, and allows the fans to see just how “well” they are doing in the public eye. While there are some celebrities who couldn’t care less about it, there are some who seem like they just cannot get enough of it. From postings pics every day to giving us updates about the most mundane stuff, here are 10 celebrities who are addicted to Facebook.

Rihanna

Let’s talk for a moment about the one woman who truly seems to understand just how serious a marketing tool social media is. She has followers in the millions, and uses any opportunity she can to turn some heads or get people talking. Usually using her profile for more extreme stuff, she tends to push the envelope a little with Facebook and Twitter. But guess what? In this day in age, that sort of viral self promotion is nothing short of brilliant. And Rihanna is leading the charge.

Premiere Of Paramount's "Star Trek" - Arrivals

George Takei

You cannot mention Facebook and not mention this former Star Trek star who has an unbelievable following and seems to be one of the few stars who really uses Facebook right. A nice balance between actual causes, funny pictures, and personal vignettes. He may be addicted to Facebook, but at least he uses it for more than just narcissistic selfies. He actually tries to cheer people up and spread love and laughs. You can’t even be mad at that.

10th Annual TV Land Awards - Arrivals

Kelly Ripa

No one should be surprised that this TV host made the list, as she is famous for being everywhere at all times, doing everything. Seriously, she never even stops to take a breath. So the reality is that in those rare moments she could stop that she chooses to use Facebook. But iit is also good for her fans because it gives them insight into just how she does what she does without ever falling over or passing out. Ripa also seems to know it works as a great way to show people the human side of the superstar.

Spike TV's "Guys Choice 2013" - Red Carpet

Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba seems to spend a lot of time actually talking with fans and interacting, which many stars just don’t do. On top of that, she uses her Facebook differently than most. While most celebs use it as self promotion. Jessica Alba uses her Facebook to show her fans a more family oriented side. She is far less obsessed with Hollywood, and is much happier at home with her family. This reflects itself in her social media and that says quite a bit about this lovely star.

iHeartRadio Music Festival - Day 2 - Show

Britney Spears

She was gaining fame just as social media was being “born”, so it makes sense the pop starlet would have an affection for it. The best thing about it is just how much it has evolved over the years. While once, being addicted to Facebook led to a lot of star talk and selfies, now it has shown us a broader picture of Britney. She loves showing off her sons and her family life more than she loves showing off some new dress she got. It is like we watched her grow up on social media.

(BELVEDERE) RED Launches With Usher - Red Carpet

Chelsea Handler

A big part of what made Chelsea Handler so famous in the first place was just how approachable she was. She knew this, and used it to her advantage. She knows what she is doing on social media sites. Chelsea Handler’s Facebook is equal parts behind-the-scenes and goofy stuff that is off the cuff. It shows she is really as chill as she portrays herself. It seems being genuine (even on social media) acts like a bug light and brings with it a lot of attention. But Handler has known how to handle it.

David Letterman

I know, I know. I am shocked he is on the list. You are shocked he is on the list. Heck, the above picture pretty captures the fact that even he is surprised he is on the list. But he is on the list. Oddly enough, of all the people you would assume would like Facebook, you kind of assume Letterman would hate it. But no, he is addicted to Facebook. Always updating, talking to fans, uploading pics. It is either him, or he has some really good P.R going on.

"Fast & Furious 5": Rome Press Conference

Vin Diesel

Another surprising entry. But yes, Vin Diesel is definitely addicted to Facebook. If you want real proof, look no further than the insane video of him that he posted at like three in the morning for his fans not too long ago. I have to warn you, it is sort of insane. It is just him dancing around for eight minutes. Yet there is something oddly compelling about. So yeah, we are wondering what he is doing there, too. But 80 million likes is no joke.

NBCUniversal Summer Press Day - Arrivals

Kathy Griffin

We all know this red head comedian loves attention. She makes no attempt to hide that fact at all, to her credit. Most in her field love attention. At least she admits it. And what better place for someone who loves attention than the interwebs? And what better place on the interwebs to get attention than Facebook? Nowhere, and Griffin seems to have a firm grasp on that. Be forewarned, though. She can be a little crazy at times.

2012 Winter TCA Tour - Day 5

Ryan Seacrest

The best part here is that the above photo makes it look like he is saying: who, me? Yes you. Of all the accounts on the list, yours is the one that always seems to be updating. New projects, pics, selfies, what you ate, and so on. It is honestly like Ryan Seacrest is so addicted to Facebook (and attention) that he cannot go more than fifteen minutes without talking about himself in some manner or another. No wonder he is such good friends with Kathy Griffin.
