10 Celebrity Judges We Want to see on DWTS

2014 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival - Day 2

Now in its 20th season, ABC’s celebrity dance competition show, Dancing with the Stars is one of the most popular shows on TV. Each week, a celebrity is matched up with a professional dancer, and the pair must perform a routine as they compete against the other dancers on the show.  Throughout the years, the show has highlighted some very talented celebrity dancers, and has also shown the world just how clumsy some of the biggest stars can be. However, although the constants change each season, the judges have mostly remained the same. With so much famous talent, it would be nice to see some stars take a seat at the judges’ table, and provide the contestants with their expertise.  Here are 20 celebrity judges we want to see on DWTS.

Nicole Scherzinger

London Boat Show

Former Pussy Cat Doll, Nicole Scherzinger, knows a thing or two about performing in front of large audiences. Her worth as both a solo artist and a member of a group has provided her with an interesting prospective on how to work the stage and engage with the audience. Plus, she’s already been a contestant on DWTS, so she would be great at giving constructive feedback.

Channing Tatum

"Foxcatcher" Premiere - Arrivals - 2014 Toronto International Film Festival

Before becoming an actor, Channing Tatum  actually worked as a stripper.  Sure, stripping isn’t the most technical form of dancing, but strippers do need to be able to engage their audience, which is something that’s important to all elements of performing.

Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber Performs Live At The F1 Closing Party

When Justin Bieber first hit the scene back in 2009, dancing was a very big part of his act, and a lot of people were thoroughly impressed by his moves.  No matter how you feel about the Biebs, it’s hard to deny the fact that this kid does have some serious talent.  Bieber also regularly tours with a great group of backup dancers, and knows all about what it’s like to perform on the big stage.  With his experience, he might actually be able to help DWTS contestants  hone their skills. However, there’s a pretty good change that Bieber could end up being the arrogant judge who thinks he knows everything, but hey, every show needs someone like that.

Usher

2013 Geneva Auto Show

Throughout his career, R&B superstar, Usher, has always been hailed for his incredible dance moves.  If there’s one thing that’s for sure, it’s that Usher loves to dance – and people love to watch. For years, he has managed to perform interesting and entertaining routines in front of millions of fans.  Usher also seems to have a good head on his shoulders, which is a great quality for any judge.  He would be the perfect person to give positive feedback with a little bit of tough love.

Alfonso Ribeiro

Dancing With The Stars: Live! Tour

Best-known for his role as Carlton Banks on the hit 90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Alfonso Ribeiro’s character became popular for his quirky personality – and hilarious dance moves. However, while his dancing on the show may have been a joke, Ribeiro is actually a talented dancer who once worked with Michael Jackson.  In face, in 2014, Riberio was actually the winter of the ninetieth season of DWTS.  As a former champion of the show, and a star with years of dancing experience, Ribeiro would definitely know what to look for during performances.

Ne-Yo

National Park Foundation and Google's "Made with Code" National Christmas Tree Lightening Ceremony

There’s something about Ne-Yo that just seems like he would make the perfect judge.  He’s multi-talented, hardworking, and he’s incredibly smooth.  Although dancing may not be the focal point of his career, Ne-Yo definitely knows how to rock the crowd.  He also seems like a great person to mentor some of the contestants on the show who may not have had any prior dance experience.

Chris Brown

Power 105.1's Powerhouse 2014 - Backstage

Chris Brown is an amazing dancer.  Citing Michael Jackson and Usher as some of his inspirations, it’s clear that he’s following in some pretty talented footsteps.  Each time her hits the stage, Brown brings a whole new element of entertainment to his performances.  Although being a judge on a competition show doesn’t really seem like Chris Brown’s thing, it might be good for fans to see him doing something positive, and he would definitely be able to let the dancer’s know what they need to work on.

Beyonce

Beyonce

Beyonce is arguably the best entertainer in the game right now.  Seriously, there’s nothing that she doesn’t have in her bag of tricks and aside from pumping out some extremely big hits, she’s also managed to tackle some of the best choreography.  If there’s anyone who knows about giving your all every single time you hit the stage, it’s Beyonce.
