Jake Gyllenhaal Hospitalized After Punching Mirror on Movie Set
Jake Gyllenhaal was hospitalized Wednesday morning after punching a mirror on the set of his new film ‘Nightcrawler’ in Los Angeles according to The Huffington Post. The scene that lead to Gyllenhaal’s injury and immediate hospitalization was described as ‘aggressive and intense’. The source said;
“Jake flipped out. His character was looking into a mirror during the scene and punched the mirror in anger and broke it, cutting himself so bad he had to be taken to a hospital.”
Gyllenhaal, who turned 32-years old this year, got stitches and those close to the situation say the injury was a result of working an 18-hour day. Gyllenhaal reportedly was so into the scene, he slammed the mirror and it broke. The injury was not a result of anger or anything out of the ordinary. The report also indicated that the actor is ‘starving himself’ to lose twenty pounds for his role as a crime-scene reporter in the movie.
