Ariel Winter is an American actress with an estimated net worth of $4 million. She was born on January 28, 1998 in Los Angeles, California. Her mother is Chrisoula and her father is Glenn. She has two siblings and she is of Greek descent. Her childhood was not one that she was particularly fond of. Ariel Winter’s mother spent most of the young actress’ life abusing her both physically and emotionally, making her feel as if she was nothing, no one and worth nothing to anyone. The actress’ sister took care of her for many years, filing as her official and legal guarding when the little girl was only 8. That was in 2006. In 2014, a California court gave Shanelle Gray, Ariel Winter’s sister, guardianship of her sister and she became emancipated from her birth mother officially.
Growing up, Ariel Winter was in the business. It is not clear if she began acting because it is something that she wanted to do with her own life, or if it was something that her parents wanted her to do and was part of the abuse that she endured for so many years. She was only 6 when she was cast in her first role, a commercial for the legendary Cool Whip. She began starring in guest roles on television when she was 7, and she also began lending her voice to animated characters on hit television shows in between. Some of her biggest animated roles included parts in “Ice Age: The Meltdown,” “Bambi II,” “Phineas and Ferb,” and she was even Marina the Mermaid during a special “Jake and the Neverland Pirates,” for small kids.
Her most famous role lending her voice to a character, however, would certainly be that of Sofia from the very popular show “Sofia the First,” on which she stars alongside some of the most talented actors and actresses in the business. Even though she lent her voice to some of the most well-known characters on television, it’s her role as the very intelligent middle sibling on the hit show Modern Family that leaves her most recognized. She plays a genius daughter, stuck in the middle of a very clueless older sister and a very clueless older brother, with a sometimes clueless and always enthusiastic father and a very sarcastic and impatient mother. The show is hilarious, and her role as Alex Dunphy leaves everyone laughing at all times.
At the moment, Ariel Winter will continue to act and to expand her career as much as possible. However, she will also begin attending college in the fall of 2016 after being accepted into UCLA. She is interested in attending law school, and she wants something that she can do with her life she can fall back on anytime she feels that acting is no longer for her. Her life has been a series of others making decisions for her, and she’d like to put a stop to that and live her own life, amass her own fortune and control her own future.
