‘Bachelor’ Juan Pablo Says Expect ‘Lots of Latino Fun’ For Upcoming Season

2013 American Music Awards - Show

We’re a few weeks away from the 18th season of the hit ABC show ‘The Bachelor’. This season’s lucky man, Juan Pablo Galavis, has told reporters to expect a latin flavor to his show:

“I am the bachelor and I am a Latino. There’s going to be a lot of Latino things on the show, a lot of food, a lot of dancing, a lot of stuff. It’s going to be so different, you’re going to love it.”

Reporters gathered for the tradition press conference call with Juan Pablo, which takes place at the start of every ‘Bachelor’ and ‘Bachelorette’ season. While they weren’t clued in to the outcome of his show, he did say he was “very happy”. We can only speculate what that means.

If you recall, Juan Pablo was dismissed relatively early on from Desiree Hartsock’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’. Thus making his appearance on ‘The Bachelor’ some what of a shock. He’s also the first ever latino individual to be the subject of the looking-for-love show.

The interview wasn’t all lighthearted. He did mention that he did allow his 5-year old daughter to appear in the show, but did not want her to see him dating the 27 women. It’s a very sensitive subject for the ex-pro soccer player, who is looking for a wife and a stepmom. The 18th season kicks off on January 6th on ABC.
