Barbara Streisand Performs with Jimmy Fallon

Monday night proved to be a big night in late night television. One of the world’s biggest stars made her first appearance on late night television since 1963. Well, she actually made a very brief cameo on The Late Show 20 years ago, but it’s been more than 41 years since Barbra Streisand was a guest on late night, until Monday. She made an appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s show and even sang a duet with him.

The songstress and actress was on hand to talk about her new album, Partners, which dropped yesterday. Over the course of her long career, Streisand has performed with some of the most famous people in the music industry, and as of Monday night she can add one more duet to her accomplished list. The singer got up and sang with the very talented Jimmy Fallon, and it wasn’t a bad performance. In fact, the late night host is pretty darn good with his voice.

Fallon has the ability to sing just about anything and mimic just about anyone, and it only makes sense he would look to having Streisand on his show to sing a little song. He’s been known to mimic the chesty sound of Jim Morrison just as well as he can yelp a bit like Tom Petty and he’s not a bad singer. In fact, he impressed not only himself, but Streisand and the audience.

While Fallon didn’t quite make the cut onto Streisand’s new album, several others did. From Elvis to Blake Shelton, the singer has an impressive list of songs with some of the most famous faces in music. If you’re interested in hearing her sing with other favorites, you can pick up her new album as of yesterday. You can also watch this clip of Streisand performing with Jimmy Fallon.
