Barbra Streisand and Blake Shelton Team up for Duet
Barbra Streisand has done it all. She’s a famous singer and actress, and she’s performed duets with some of the world’s most famous singers. In the 1960s she performed with the beautiful Judy Garland. In the 1970s she performed with the great Donna Summer. She’s even performed with Tony Bennett, and now the 72-year-old songstress and actress can add another famous duet to her resume; Blake Shelton.
That’s right. The Babs is now singing a duet with the famous country singer, and husband of Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton. You can hear her duet with the country superstar on September 16 when her new album drops. It’s a compilation of duets, and it’s appropriately named, “Partners.” Not all the songs are new ones, as she sings with some famous faces that are no longer with us. She’s got songs on the album she sang with famous people such as Elvis Presley and she’s even got a duet with the smashing John Legend.
The name of her song with Blake Shelton is “I’d Want it To Be You,” and it’s going to be a big hit, according to those who have already heard the song, which is going to be released tomorrow. Streisand and the 38-year-old country singer came together to sing the song after she decided she’d love to do a collaboration with the star. Being the kind of person he is, Shelton readily agreed to sing with the exceptionally famous Barbra Streisand. It’s a big deal for Shelton, who has the honor of saying he’s performed with a singer who has performed with some of the world’s greatest performers. He might not have been alive to perform a duet with Elvis, but performing with someone who has is a pretty big deal for any superstar in the music industry, no matter which genre.
