Did Benji Madden Propose to Cameron Diaz?

Is Cameron Diaz sporting an engagement ring? The actress has been out and about in Hollywood the past few days wearing a very noticeable new piece of jewelry on a very telling finger. Rumors began swirling on Wednesday when the actress appeared alongside Gwyneth Paltrow at a luncheon on Hollywood. Sources state that the actress could not stop smiling and that she showed off the ring constantly.

“She was casually and constantly tiling her ponytail, showing off the ring and often playing with it,” said a source at the same luncheon. Later that night, she and her rumored fiancé, Benji Madden, went to dinner at Madeo on Beverly Hills. Sources there had very similar things to say about the actress.

“They arrived together with Benji driving. Cameron showed off her new ring and was smiling. They enjoyed dinner for several hours,” a source said. The couple has reportedly been living together since they returned from vacationing with the actresses family in Florida over the summer, and their friends and family could not be happier for the two, who they claim are very much in love and very happy together. A friend of the couple says they’ve often discussed the idea of marriage, and that they are very happy.

“Since she started dating Benji, Cameron has changed in a very positive way. She can’t stop smiling and seems much happier. Benji has lived with Cameron for the past couple of months. They act like they can’t get enough of each other and spend a lot of time together. During the days, they often share a workout. At night, they often stay at home and cook,” says a friend of the couple.

So, is the ring she’s sporting a sign that she’s going to get married soon? We don’t know. Neither Diaz or Madden’s spokespeople have come forward with any news of an engagement.
