Hollywood Takes Kim Dotcom and Megaupload to Court

You guys are somewhat familiar with Kid Dotcom and his story with Megaupload, right? Well, quick refresher. The guy starts a site called Megaupload where people can upload movies and shows for one another and stuff. Only thing is, it is all illegal. Remember Napster? Well, it is kind of like that, but with movies. The dude was getting rich and living a rather lavish lifestyle for it all, and then was arrested (because illegal downloads are, well, illegal). Flash forward, six of the major studios are now involved with the lawsuit and doing anything they can to bring the man down to his knees.

Basically, Kim Dotcom started a site that lets people upload movies to the server so other people can then watch those movies. As many of you know, that is a no-no, and it seems the more famous and rich he got, the more people took notice. He eventually got arrested and brought in, and now, six major movie companies are involved in the law suit. 20th Century Fox, Disney, Paramount, Universal, Columbia, and Warner Bros all want to see Megaupload and Kim Dotcom gone forever. Sorry, but it kind of makes sense. You cannot take food out of someone’s mouth and put it in your own mouth without someone getting mad and holding you accountable. That, my friends, is just what people are doing here. Holding the person accountable.

Guess we just need to wait and see what happens next.
