Blake Lively Discusses Starting a Family with Ryan Reynolds
Blake Lively, everyone’s favorite former Gossip Girl, wants a litter of kids. No, she’s not announcing anything – that we know of – about her current status of affairs in her marriage to actor Ryan Reynolds. However, the 26-year-old actress has always been a big believer in having a big family, and she’s feeling the pressure to get started on that with her 37-year-old husband.
“If I could spit out a litter of kids, I would,” she says in an interview with Marie Claire for the September issue of the magazine, on which she graces the cover. The normally very private actress has always been very outspoken regarding her desire to become a mother. She and her husband shocked the world several years ago when they planned, executed and enjoyed a lavish wedding ceremony in the Carolinas without anyone other than their guests knowing it was happening.
That’s just one example of how private this couple is. While they are known to walk the red carpet and attend events for work, they’re happier being at home, together, where it’s private and they can just relax. “The best part is when we turn off our phones and just talk and hang out. He’s my best, best friend. What do you do with your best friend? You do nothing,” she says of her favorite moments with her husband.
The actress has not been doing nothing, exactly, since she left her role as Serena Van Der Woodsen on the hit series Gossip Girl. She’s been starring in the Savages, and she’s launched her own website, Preserve, which is a lifestyle website she modeled after her idol, Martha Stewart. With so much going on in her life right now, it might not be the right time for she and her husband, who’ve never gone more than a week without being together, to start a family. Then again, there’s never a perfect time for anything, so we will see.
