Do We Really Believe that Justin Bieber is Retiring?

So Justin Bieber goes on an L.A radio station yesterday and claims that after his next album, Journals, he is retiring. Can you hear that? The sound of millions of young girls weeping in unison, while millions of grown men celebrate? The truth is, everything about this sounds like a publicity stunt. Honestly, that is the problem with pop culture. You never really now what is a stunt and what is legit anymore. So Justin Bieber is retiring?We will BELIEB it when we see it. Sorry, that was low-hanging-fruit that I may grab at a few more time, just so you know.

NY Daily News has the story (not really a story, more like two sentences). He went on Power 106 yesterday and claimed he is retiring. That is all. No reason, just retiring. Okay, if this is true, I can tell you why. You may think it is awesome when you have a fan base of young girls who adore you. The truth is, that is a very small sect of the population. When the rest of that sect (say 75% of the world) hates what you do, it can get a little daunting. Maybe the kid just wants a normal life and now realizes he has the money to pursue that without a problem. If that was the case, more power to him.

But really, Justin Bieber is retiring sounds like the biggest scam in musical history.
