Naya Rivera is a Married Woman
No one saw that coming. Glee actress Naya Rivera is married; and it’s not to her former fiancé, Big Sean. She and Big Sean ended their engagement back in April, so it comes as a shock to everyone that only three months later Rivera is a married woman, and it’s to someone completely different. The Glee actress married long-time friend, Ryan Dorsey.
The couple wed on July 19th, just three months after her engagement ended in Cabo San Lucas. They invited only a small group of family to their nuptials, claiming that they couldn’t be any happier about their unity.
“We feel truly blessed to be joined as husband and wife. Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for,” said the couple in a joint statement following their wedding ceremony. Dorsey is a West Virginia native with a major in acting. He attended the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts before he made the decision to move to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. He met Rivera almost immediately after moving to L.A. and the two have been good friends ever since. Following her failed engagement to Big Sean, their friendship moved on into a romance and the couple recently said their vows.
The rumor is that Big Sean ended his engagement to the Glee star for very private reasons. There was a lot of speculation surrounding the end of their engagement, and the couple have no spoken about the real reason behind their split. What is important, however, is the fact that the 27-year-old star is now a married woman and she’s happier than ever in her newfound married bliss.
The couple exchanged rings made by Neil Lane and wore designer duds to say their vows. The bride wore a custom Monique Lhuillier gown and the groom opted for a classic Dolce & Gabbana suit.
