Dress Designer Alfred Angelo Unveils Elsa Wedding Dress from Frozen

There is so much of Frozen in the world. The movie is one of the most talked-about of all times. The line to meet Elsa and Anna at Disney is ridiculously long (though we stand in it for our kids). The song, “Let it Go,” is everywhere. There are snowmen on every shirt kids wear these days, the movie is played on repeat in cars at in homes, and even a primetime show has its own Anna and Elsa now. Frozen is everywhere.

And now it’s going to be at every wedding in the country thanks to the new Elsa wedding dress. Famed bridal designer Alfred Angelo introduced the Frozen wedding gown yesterday at New York City’s Bridal Fashion week. The gown is named “Elsa,” and it’s designed to look very much like the gown that the ice queen wears in the movie after she unleashes her powers on the world around her and escapes into the mountains.

It’s a sheath gown with a sweetheart neckline, a cape and many embellishments that are designed to create the look of falling snow along the bottom of the dress. It’s got a long train and the cape can be removed or added when needed. The dress was shown in a royal ice blue, the preferred color of Queen Elsa during the bridal fashion show, but it’s available in multiple colors for the discerning bride. Frozen-obsessed brides will find the dress available in ruby, blue and purple, as well as ivory for the more traditional bride. Each of the dress colors has its own Disney princess name, Snow White is ruby, Jasmine is purple and Cinderella is the blue gown.

The dress will be available online and in stores that sell the designer brand in January 2015. And don’t forget to get your flower girl a matching dress so that she can fulfill her own Disney dreams on your big day.
