Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union Get Married

It was a big weekend for actress Gabrielle Union and basketball star Dwyane Wade. The couple finally said their vows and are officially a married couple. After becoming engaged in December, the couple has been open about their wedding plans. Union has been known to say that Wade is much more of a bridezilla than she ever was, and it all worked out in the end considering their wedding was beautiful.

The ceremony was an intimate one in which only close family and friends were invited. The couple exchanged their vows in Miami, where they live. John Legend sang for the couple during the wedding ceremony, and all the guests were in formal white to match the bride’s custom Dennis Basso wedding gown.

To match his new wife as she walked down the aisle, Wade paid close attention to his own attire on his wedding night. He donned a custom DSquared2 suit and a Wedding Collection tie Wade personally designed from The Tie Bar. Both the bride and the groom have been married before and this is a second marriage for both.

The couple became engaged after many years of dating less than a year ago. Wade enlisted the help of his two kids from his previous marriage as well as his nephew, whom he is raising in his household. They wasted no time in announcing their engagement and their excitement over getting married and planning their wedding. It’s a wedding in which both parties were equally involved in planning, because both wanted every aspect of their big day to be personal and intimate for everyone to enjoy.

For entertainment for their wedding guests, the newly married couple arranged for a 1930s juke joint. They also designed their own custom cocktail for the night, a white wine called Vanilla Puddin’ Chardonnay.
