The Most Embarrassing Moments of Selena Gomez’s Career
Being a huge celebrity like Selena Gomez may seem like the greatest gig on earth. After all, what could be better than getting to travel the world doing what you love, meeting all kinds of new people, and making some good money while doing it? Yeah, it’s hard to top that. However, what some people tend to forget is that even with all of the perks that come with being famous, underneath it all these stars are just regular human beings. With that being said, being a human comes with some very real feelings, and there’s nothing more real than feeling embarrassed. Even the biggest names in the industry know what it’s like to be embarrassed, and they’re not any more comfortable about it than anyone else. Here are the most embarrassing moments of Selena Gomez’ career.
Falling off stage
Falling in front of a large group of people is a fear that isn’t uncommon. Luckily for most people; however, they don’t have to worry about falling down in an arena full of people. Unfortunately for Gomez though, her reality is there: if she falls, there’s a good chance that it will eventually be seen by millions of people – which is exactly what happened when Gomez fell off the stage during her performance.
Falling down the stairs
When asked about one of her most embarrassing moments, Gomez recalled a time she fell down the stairs in front of a bunch of her fans while she was still staring on Wizards of Waverly Place. According to Gomez, “I was doing a live taping of my show, and I fell because I was wearing these high heels down the stairs after saying hi to my fans. That was pretty bad.” Hopefully she will learn to be more careful, because any more falls won’t be good for her ego.
Running away from Jennifer Aniston
When most people see one of their favorite stars, their reaction isn’t to run away in the opposite direction. However, when Selena Gomez came face to face with Jennifer Aniston, Gomez decide to book it. According to Gomez, she ran away because was “terrified” of Aniston, and didn’t know how to react to see her. Gomez later revealed that her feelings of nervousness came from the fact that she’s a huge fan of Aniston. Well, somebody should have told her that just saying hi probably would have been sufficient .

Wardrobe malfunction
Over the years, celebrities having wardrobe malfunctions has become a pretty common occurrence. However, that doesn’t mean that it’s not embarrassing for the stars. Unfortunately for Gomez, she suffered a pretty bad malfunction when she was on the red carpet and her zipper broke. According to Gomez, “my entire zipper broke and went all the way down and luckily there were a bunch of guys around me and I laughed and I was like ’give me your jacket.’ So I’m laughing while they’re taking pictures and putting their jacket on and then I’m like ’bye’ and then I run and then once we were back there I was having people sew me in. I think when life comes at you with its worst, just come back at it with your best. You got to laugh it off because nobody’s perfect.” Nice save, Selena, nice save.
Worst Actress
Being dubbed the “worst” at anything can’t be a good feeling. But you can only imagine how embarrassed Gomez was she was nominated for the Worst Actress Razzie Award for her role in Getaway. Sure, that’s the whole point of the Razzie Awards, but it still can’t be a good feeling to know that you did THAT poorly at something. On the bright side; however, she didn’t win.
Dating Justin Bieber
For a while, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were one of the hottest young couples in the entertainment industry. However, things quickly took a turn and their relationship started becoming very rocky, and it seemed that her affiliation with Bieber could damage her career. According to sources, Gomez’ mother didn’t approve of the relationship, and there are some who also believe that the relationship led to Gomez enter rehab. Now that the couple has called it quits for good, things seem to be going much better for Gomez. But hey, everybody has that one relationship they look back on and wonder what they were thinking.
