Which Faith Hill Song Transfixes Tim McGraw?

Country superstar music legend Tim McGraw is still transfixed with his wife of nearly 18 years, country music star Faith Hill. The singer is on the road promoting Sundown Heaven Town, his new album, and his lovely wife of 18 years next month has accompanied him for much of his travel time. On Tuesday, the couple was in New York City so McGraw could make appearance on Good Morning America and then perform at the Express Unstaged show that night. Hill was with her husband at both appearances, and the couple is more in love than ever before.

At the evening show, the couple sang together. “Meanwhile Back at Mama’s” is the song that they performed for a cheering crowd. McGraw talked about what made him choose to record this particular song and why it’s so special to him.

“When it got to the end, where it said, ‘Me and you back at mama’s’ she started crying. I said, ‘I’m going to record it and you’re going to record it with me,” he said to his wife. When he got around to recording the duet with his lovely wife, it quickly became his 50th top 10 hit according to the Billboard country music chart.

“We really haven’t recorded that many songs together. Just a handful. And we try to only record songs that we think are special to us. And this was one of those songs,” he said of the hit. He went on to say that he is Hill’s biggest fan, and that anytime he hears his wife sing her hit song Breathe from 1999, he’s transfixed. Even after 15 years, he still cannot get enough of listening to her sing the song that he feels is special to them. They’ll celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary in October, which means congratulations for the duo.
