20 of Our Favorite Celebrities From Missouri
Missouri is the state that is known for Branson, the city of country music and wondrous entertainment venues. It’s also known as the “show me” state, achieving statehood as the 24th inductee into the Union. It’s also the birthplace of Mark Twain and the home of the city where the first parachute jump in the United States occurred. Our research turned up several famous persons who were either born in the state or became residents there. We chose some of our favorite celebrities from various professions for inclusion in our list of 20 of our favorite celebrities from Missouri.
1. Eminem
Famous Birthdays confirms that famous rapper Eminem was born in Saint Joseph, Missouri on October 17, 1972. His parents named him Marshall Mathers. He is best known for his hit single “My Name Is.” Eminem is a Grammy Award-winning superstar on the rap scene winning Grammies for three albums in a row. Before Eminem achieved the fame he wanted to become a comic book artist. When he heard the Ice-T song “Reckless,” it changed the direction of his life.
2. Evan Peters
Evan Peters is an actor who is best known for his appearances in “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” in 2014. He also played multiple parts in “American Horror Story,” and appeared in “Pose” and “American Animals.” Peters was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 20, 1987. As of 2022, he is 35 years old.
3. Katherine McNamara
Katherine McNamara is a 26-year old actress who is best known for her role as Sonya in “The Maze Runner” franchise. She also appeared in Shadowhunters, “New Year’s Eve,” “Girl Vs. Monster,” and “Arrow.” She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on November 22, 1995. Her professional acting career began at the age of 13 when she appeared in “A Little Night Music” on Broadway. She also won a Teen Choice Award in 2019.

Carlos PenaVega is an actor who is best known for his starring role in “Big Time Rush.” He is also a songwriter who also started in “Big Time Movie.” Carlos also starred in “the Casagrande’s” series on Nickelodeon, and “Grease Live!” He was born in Columbia, Missouri on August 15, 1989. he is 32 years old as of 2022. He made his debut in the feature film “Little Birds” in 2011.

Dick Van Dyke is one of the most beloved actors in the nation. He is best known for his starring role in “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” as well as “Diagnosis: Murder.” He also starred in “Mary Poppins” along with Julie Andrews,” and returned for the sequel “Mary Poppins Returns.” Dick was born in West Plains, Missouri on December 13, 1925. 7. Dallon Weeks
Dallon Weeks is a 40-year old musician who is best known as the backup vocalist and former bass guitarist for the band Panic! at the Disco. He has a long history of professional music, starting with his role as frontman for The Borbecks, then joining a band called I Don’t Know How But They Found Me. He was born in Verona, Missouri on May 3, 1981. He attended Clearfield High School and was raised in the area.

He starred in the drama “Hotel Rwanda” in 2004, earning an Academy Award nomination for his performance. Jon Hamm is best known for his role in the television series “Mad Men” in the role of Don Draper. It took Hamm a while to make it in the entertainment business. He worked hard doing odd jobs to survive until he made it in the business, winning two Best Actor category Golden Globe Awards and eight Emmy award nominations. He also appeared in “Parks and Recreation,” “Million Dollar Arm,” “The Town,” and several other notable films and television series. Jon Hamm was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 10, 1971. He is currently 50 years old.

Kate Spade was a well-known American entrepreneur, fashion designer, and co-owner of the Kate Spade New York fashion brand. She was successful in promoting her footwear and handbag brands. She was a successful businesswoman and the sister-in-law of actor David Spade. She married his brother Andy. She was one of the best-known designers in the nation. Tragically, her life ended in 2018, when she committed suicide. Kate Spade was born on December 24, 1962, and died at the age of 55. Her hometown and place of birth are Kansas City, Missouri.

He was the host of his talk show which aired on ABC Radio Networks. Most people are familiar with “The Rush Limbaugh Show.” He achieved the highest ratings of any American talk radio show in the nation. He broke records with his high earnings in the media business. Rush was born to a family of attorneys. His father encouraged him to follow in the family traditions, but Limbaugh had his dreams. he is also known for his books “See, I Told You So,” and “The Way Things Ought to Be.” He was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on January 12, 1951, as Rush Hudson Limbaugh III. He passed away at the age of 70.

Stacker reports that Timothy Omundson is another celebrity personality from Missouri. He is an American actor who is best known for his appearances in the 1997 film as the psychic in “Starship Troopers,” followed by his role as an IMF Agent in the blockbuster film “Mission: Impossible III, released in 2006. He also snagged the role of Carlton Lazssiter in the television series “Psych,” in a recurring role that ran from 2006 through 2014. Stephen McKinley Henderson was born in Kansas City, Missouri on August 31, 1949. He joins the growing list of famous people who are proud to call Missouri their home state.
19. Mark Linn-Baker
Mark Linn-Baker is another famous son of Missouri who made it as a professional actor. He first appeared in the role of Benjy Stone in the 1982 release of “My Favorite Year.” He went on to star in the recurring role of Larry Appleton in the television series/sitcom “Perfect Strangers. He was a member of the cast from 1986 through 1993 for a long run that gave him exposure to American audiences. In 2009, Baker appeared as Sam Klieber in the film “Adam,” released in 2009. Mark was born on June 17, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Kevin Kline is a famous American actor who has a long and rich history in the entertainment business. he is best known for his role as Artemus Gordon in the film “Wild Wild West” released in 1999. he co-starred with actor Will Smith.” He also played the part of Dave Kovic in the 1993 film “Dave.” Earlier in his career, he became famous for his role as Otto in “A Fish Called Wanda,” released in 1988. Kevin Kline has 69 projects to his credit in his acting portfolio. He has appeared in far too many films and television series to name here.

He is also slated to appear in a brand new project called “The Diary,” which is in the post-production stage of development.
