With the rise of social media, people now have access to each other like never before.  Platforms like Twitter provide people with a public stage to communicate with others, and sometimes, this means of communication is abused. Each year, celebrities find themselves in the middle of heated arguments via Twitter, and their fans are allowed to have a front row seat. Although most of these arguments become extremely small in hindsight, many fans find these public spats entertaining. Unfortunately, these public feuds often result in celebrities showing their true – sometimes ugly – colors. Here are 10 of the nastiest Twitter feuds of 2015.

2014 Billboard Music Awards - Arrivals

10. Nicki Minaj vs. Christina Millian

In February 2015, singer/actress, Christina Millian, tweeted an image of herself advertising her personal line of sweatshirts which featured the phrase “pretty on fleek.”  Shortly after the tweet was published, Nicki Minaj, who coined the term in one of her songs, responded via Instagram.  Fans everywhere waited for a full-blown argument between Minaj and Millian (who is rumored to be dating Minaj’s boss, Lil Wayne).  However, while there was some obvious tension in the air while the two tweeted back and forth, the issue was eventually put to rest.

9. Keith Olbermann vs. Penn State students

Commentator, Keith Oblermann, ruffled a lot of features when he referred to the students at Pennsylvania State University as “pitiful.” Fans quickly responded in disgust, and Oblermann was eventually suspended from his job.  During an appearance on The Late Show, Oblermann disgust the incident, stating: “I got into a dispute with some folks on Twitter and it got personal because on Twitter you don’t think of anybody else as an actual human being, just as something, somebody you have to bury. Or they’re going to bury you. And you subtract yourself from the human race and just start going after people and you can do really stupid things, and I retweeted something that was about my charitable cause.”

8. Brandi Glanville vs. Leann Rimes

Ever since Leann Rimes began dating Brandi Glanville’s ex husband, Eddie Cibrian, the two have had a history of not getting along.  This year, Glanville and Rimes continued their Twitter feud when Glanville tweeted an old photo or herself, Cirbrian, and their children enjoying a date of fun in the son.  Rimes quickly fired back when an image showing herself and Cibrian enjoying a date by the beach.  Fans sat back and watched as the two traded subliminal insults, with Rimes acknowledging that arguing on Twitter was not the best idea.

7. Kanye West vs. Amber Rose

Early this year, Amber Rose made headlines when she made some negative comments about the Kardashian/Jenner clan. During an interview Kanye West stated that his wife, Kim Kardashian, made him take “30 showers” to clean himself after being with Rose.  The comment caused an uproar, as many felt that West’s comments were rude and unnecessary.  However, Rose quickly took matters into her own hands and published a series of tweets directed at Kanye West.

6. Kid Cudi vs. Lupe Fiasco

Earlier this year, when asked about race related police brutality, rapper Kendrick Lamar stated: “What happened to [Michael Brown] should’ve never happened. Never. But when we don’t have respect for ourselves, how do we expect them to respect us? It starts from within. Don’t start with just a rally, don’t start from looting — it starts from within.”  His comments quickly earned a reaction, and brought out opposing view points from those within the back community. After rapper Azealia Banks spoke her piece on the indecent, rappers Kid Cudi and Lupe Fiasco, began a very public argument.  After publishing a tweet suggesting that he did not agree with Lamar’s comments, Cudi was instantly challenged by Lupe Fiasco, who believed that Lamar’s statement was true. The discussion quickly became personal, and ultimately resulted in Cudi referring to Fiasco as  “Poope Fiasco.”

5. Chrissy Teigen vs. Katie Cassidy

In early 2015, Chrissy Teigen and Katie Cassidy got into a Twitter spat after Cassidy insulted one of Teigan’s friends.  Teigen eventually came to the rescue, sending a witty tweet Cassidy’s way which eventually transitioned into an argument.

4. Azealia Banks vs. Erykah Badu

Rapper Azealia Banks has built a reputation on starting Twitter beef.  Over the years, Banks has been very vocal on Twitter, and has used to platform to call people out in their behavior.  Although everyone seems to be fair game, the hip-hop and R&B communities were stunned when Banks decided to pick a fight with the legendary Erykah Badu. When a Twitter user posted a tweet stating: “Does @fatbellybella listen to azealia banks? Always wanted to know.” Banks became offended by Badu’s response that she “tried” to listen to Banks’ music.  Banks then tweeted that Badu was “old” and jealous; however, Badu maintained her cool.

3. Kelly Osbourne vs. Katie Hopkins

Kelly Osbourne and British journalist had a few choice words via Twitter after Hopkins insulted Osbourne’s appearance at the 2015 Academy Awards. After being compared to a troll, Osbourne fought back, tweeting that Hopkins was nothing more than a “sad old woman” looking to make herself relevant.  Although many thought Osbourne’s comment sealed the deal, Hopkins quickly fought back citing that Osbourne was only relevant because of her rocker father, Ozzy Osbourne.

2. Vivica Fox vs. Natalie Guercio

In March 2015, Vivica Fox hosted the reunion show for VH1’s reality TV series, Mob Wives.  As with most reunion shows, there were several arguments and disruptions. Although most people though Fox did a great job handling all of the confrontation, mob wife Natalie Guercio openly disagreed.  After the show, Guercio tweeted: “@MsVivicaFox I did not appreciate how u treated London and I at this reunion. U were very one sided, it’s obvious. U owe us an apology @VH1…The host didn’t let me speak on on top of everything I said was cut out of the reunion that’s not fair and not right @VH1 #MobWives.” After Fox responded that she had just met Guercio that night, the mob wife continued to agitate the situation by referencing Fox’s failed relationship with rap star 50 Cent.

1. Kylie Jenner and The Kardashians/Jenners vs. Amber Rose

In February 2015, Amber Rose spoke out on the alleged relationship between rapper Tyga, and socialite and business woman, Kylie Jenner.  Rose who felt that the situation was inappropriate due to Kylie and Tyga’s age difference, carelessly expressed her opinion.  Following the interview, Rose’s comments were address by Kylie’s big sister, Khloe Kardashian, who publicly defended her sister via Twitter, noting that Rose’s past was too tarnished to speak on anyone.  Kylie eventually tweeted about the situation; however, she chose to take the high rose and direct her comments towards her loving sisters, who never stop having her back.
