Five Kanye West Songs That Taylor Swift Would Probably Write Her Own Songs About
Thanks to the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA), Kanye West and Taylor Swift will forever be linked in the pages of pop culture history. For those who don’t remember, Mr. West, who may be the king of belligerent rants, used the VMA stage (and Swift’s acceptance speech) to announce to the world that “Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time.” Kanye’s abrupt interruption caused outrage amongst fans and fellow musicians who felt like his disruption was uncalled for, and that Swift deserved to accept her award in peace. However, since the incident Kanye had admitted that he “would not want some crazy drunk rock star cutting my daughter off,” and while the two have certainly not become best friends, time has revealed that the two may have more in common than they thought.
In 2009, Swift was a young mostly country musician and West a producer turned rapper who had recently gone through a break up released an album made up of 808s and heartbreaks. In recent years, this sort of ex-related music is something that Taylor Swift has become known for. The two also seem to have a knack for creating catchy feel good tunes. While the two may never actually collaborate; here is a list of five Kanye West songs that Taylor Swift would probably write her own song about.
5. Stronger
T. Swift has gone through her fair share of public break-ups. Instead of being held back by feelings of loss, the 24 year old pop-star has turned her losses into hit songs. Although Kanye’s version of song has nothing to do with break-ups, it is only fitting that a “Stronger” themed track by Swift may be the perfect newly single anthem.
4. Gold Digger
Thanks to a stellar career, Swift may never have to live the life of a gold digger. However, Swift’s take on the money hungry classic may make for an entertaining song.
3. Good Life
As a celebrity, Swift has certainly grown accustomed to the good life. Swift could perhaps turn this song into her own young pop-star theme song.
2. The New Workout Plan
Kanye’s semi-instructional workout song could easily be transformed into a T. Swift single. The uptempo and satirical song may be the perfect follow up track to Swift’s most recent single, “Shake it Up”
1.Heartless
Kanye’s hit “Heartless” from his 2008 album , 808s and Heartbreak, may be an appropriate song for Swift, who can certainly relate to the end of a relationship. Many have even began to question Swift’s own heart as she seems to go through boyfriends without even batting an eyelash. However, Swift’s version of the song could possibly touch on other instances of heartlessness, perhaps even her incident with West.
