Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg to Wed Any Day Now
It’s the wedding everyone is talking about; Jenny McCarthy and former boy-band member Donnie Wahlberg are getting married in the next few weeks. The View co-host – as she finishes out her first and last season behind the co-host desk – told reporters over the weekend that this is it for her. “I will marry Donnie in the next few weeks. He is the most amazing man, and we have become a great team. Although I haven’t told my dad yet, my son, Evan, will walk me down the aisle before he goes back to school in the fall,” she told PEOPLE magazine.
The 41-year-old star is set to wed the man she calls the love of her life this summer, and that’s not all she’s got going on in the next few months. She’s leaving The View, as she officially announced recently, and she’s taking to the airwaves for a 1-hour radio show each week. She says that the radio show will complement her current comedic project and it will provide her with what she’s looking for in terms of a satisfying career.
“I love comedy and want to devote my career to it, but I am not a stand-up. My passion is to empower female comics. I want to see them succeed,” she says of Dirty Sexy Funny, her five-member female cast live performance that goes around the country showing fans what it’s like living the hilarious life of a woman. The show is currently happening on weekends around the country, but she’s adding some week night performances to her gig in the coming months.
She’s got a lot coming up. She’ll say I do to Donnie Wahlberg, Good-bye to Sherri Shepherd and Whoopi Goldberg and Sorry to her dad, whom she just told via the media that he’s not walking her down the aisle at her upcoming wedding.
