Kevin Hart

Kevin Hart is an American comedian an actor with an estimated net worth of $62 million. Born on July 6, 1979 in Philadelphia to Nancy Hart and Henry Witherspoon, he was raised by a single mother. His mother did all she could to keep him and his older brother Robert out of trouble and off the streets. Sadly, his father was a drug addict addicted to cocaine and was completely unable to care for his kids or their mother in any capacity. He was in and out of jail most of his life. Because his family was so volatile and there were so many things wrong in his life, Kevin Hart made it his point to get people to laugh to lighten up the mood and make things a lot better than they were.

Despite this sad upbringing, he defied the odds and did go to college. He attended Temple University for two years. He decided that was not for him and he wanted to go to New York City. He left school and went to community college in NYC where he finished his degree in another two years. He left the city to head to Boston where he secured a job as a shoe salesman. It was there he decided he wanted to become a comedian. An amateur night at a Philly night club proved to him that he had what it might take, so he decided to take the chance and go for it.

Using the name Lil Kev, he went on stage at the Laff House in Philly for the first time. It did not go well for him. Neither did the next show or the one after that. In fact, he did not have one good show for a long. People threw food at him, he was booed right off the stage and he never thought he would make it in the world of comedy. The problem is that he would try to imitate other comedians. After he began entering comedy competitions, he learned that he had to find his own rhythm and style, allowing Kevin Hart to finally find what worked for him. In 2009, things began looking up for Kevin Hart.

He began making guest appearances on television shows. He began making comedic appearances in big clubs. He began touring. His popularity went through the roof and he suddenly became a household name out of virtually nowhere. He and his first wife divorced in 2011. His mother, whom he loves and respects, died in 2007 from cancer. His father is now a recovered addict who is trying to better his relationship with his son. He once told him that he was supposed to be a drug addict so that he could provide his kids with an example of how not to live their own lives.

Kevin Hart is just getting his start and he is taking it seriously. He’s funny, he’s lovable and people want to see him. That means he’s going to be worth a lot more in the coming years. Watch out for him to make more movies, mores shows and to do some more touring.
