Her mother is Frankie Lons and her father is Virgil Hunter. Her father is a boxing trainer, but she never knew him. She did not meet her father for the first time until 2016 when she had a paternity test confirm that he is, in fact, her father. He and her mother did not have a close relationship, and they had their differences. It was a lifetime of wondering for her who her actual father is, and now she knows. The reason is that her parents gave her up for adoption to family friends when she was only 2. This meant her name was changed to Cole, and her parents were Leon and Yvonne Cole.
She was only 12 when she met MC Hammer, and the two recorded some music together. Their connection was instant, and she was overtaken with the desire to become a musical star. They seemed to be quite happy, and they even began to film and star in their own reality television star. However, it was only three years later than they announced their relationship was no longer a good one and they were no longer together. She is still not with him, but they have yet to actually file any paperwork for divorce.
At the moment, Keyshia Cole is putting the final touches on her upcoming album and working on promoting that. Whether or not she will tour for it is still unknown, but she is working hard to increase her net worth and make sure she is able to make her music bigger and better than ever before.
