Lana Del Rey Cancels European Appearances
Citing medical issues as the reason, singer Lana Del Rey has been forced to cancel her European commitments for the rest of the season. The 29-year-old singer initially cancelled two private concerts that she was supposed to perform for listeners of Virgin Radio in Paris, but it seems that whatever her health issues entail have forced her to continue with her cancellations, cancelling everything she had planned in Europe over the coming days.
Del Rey went on to cancel an appearance that’s been scheduled for some time on the Zane Lowe radio show as well. No one is quite sure what her medical issue is at the moment, but it appears to be nothing big enough or serious enough to warrant the cancellation of her show in Atlanta over the coming weekend. Del Rey is scheduled to perform at the Music Midtown Festival on Friday evening, and as of right now she’s still planning on making an appearance to perform at that particular show.
“For medical reasons independent of our will, the artist has been forced to cancel all promotional activities planned in Europe over the coming days,” said her record label on Monday. When reporters reached out to Del Ray’s rep for confirmation of her cancellations and the reason behind them, no one could be reached.
It’s believed that she might be suffering from a bout of the cold that’s been going around everywhere else in the world, which could be affecting her voice. To preserve her voice and ensure faster healing, it’s not uncommon for doctors to urge singing patients to give up their craft for a few days until their throats are healed and there is no room for more damage to the vocal cords. However, her reps could not be reached to either confirm or deny the issues making her sick.
