What is the Name of Prince William and Kate’s Little Princess?
There is nothing in life more beautiful and amazing than being a mother. I might not know what it’s like to be a grandmother, but I do know what it’s like to have a great mom and mother-in-law, and I know that my kids love and adore their grandmothers more than just about anyone else in the world (including us, sometimes). There is nothing more beautiful than the relationship that children have with their grandmothers, and it’s hard when one grandparent is not around to meet her grandchildren. Prince William and Kate Middleton welcomed a baby girl over the weekend, and there is little doubt in our minds that Prince William wishes more now than ever that his later mother, Princess Di, could be here to meet his newest child. She’s not, and that’s a shame, but the Prince and his lovely wife have honored her in a way that is truly remarkable, but naming their daughter after his mother. The new princess, who is absolutely adorable, will go by the name Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. And I’m not going to lie, I love the name Charlotte. In fact, it’s the name of my husband’s and my youngest daughter, who just turned one (along with her twin brother).
The baby’s official title is Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, and it’s just the sweetest little name for a sweet little girl who already looks remarkably like her big brother, George. We love the fact that there is a little bit of honor for all the grandparents from the royal family in there. Charlotte is very similar to Charles (Prince William’s father) and Elizabeth is clearly the name of the reigning Queen, and Diana is the name of the late princess who did so many wonderful things and is among the most missed people in the world.
