Robert Downey Jr. and Wife Welcome Daughter
It’s a girl for Robert Downey Jr. and his wife! Iron Man’s wife gave birth to a healthy little girl in Los Angeles, and the family is very excited to announce her arrival. The actor’s camp has confirmed the birth of his daughter, but there are no more details available to the public at the moment. All that is known is that the little girl is the first daughter for both, and that she has two older brothers, 2-and-a-half year old Exton and 21-year-old Indio, Downey Jr.’s son from his previous marriage.
Last week, when his wife was clearly due to give birth any moment, she accompanied Downey Jr. to the BAFTA Los Angeles Jaguar Britannia Awards where her husband publicly recognized her and had some very sweet words for her.
“How is she still so darn pretty and functional and mood-stable?” he said of his wife after announcing to the crowd while accepting his award that she is “literally about to pop.” He went on to make a few jokes about her second pregnancy. “The second pregnancy has been extraordinarily tough for me. Self-prescribed mandatory bed rest was of some benefit. At least my milk is finally coming in,” the Iron Man actor joked to the crowd.
The actor and his wife announced earlier this year she was expecting their second child together, and Downey Jr. has been very outspoken about his excitement and happiness over the impending arrival of his third child. In the years following his sobriety and his change of life, he’s been focusing on the good and steering clear of the bad, and this is just another piece of good news for him, and another reason for him to celebrate and continue to focus on all the good in his life, which includes being named the highest paid actor of the year for his recent roles.
