The Simpsons Pays Tribute To Late Marcia Wallace

Screen Actors Guild And American Federation Of Television And Radio Artists Merger Referendum Results Announcement

The Simpsons is one of the greatest shows that has ever existed. Funny, smart, and quite genuine, it is a show known and beloved by all. If you want proof just how classy The Simpsons is, look no further than the how they payed homage to fallen Simpsons actress Marcia Wallace with the chalkboard gag from the latest episode. Written, just once, by Bart Simpson on the board in the intro of the show, it said:

We’ll Really Miss You, Mrs. K, and next to it stood a solemn and sad Bart Simpsons. Hold on, it’s raining on our faces.

As reported on the BBC News, it was a fitting and moving homage to Marcia Wallace, whose voice was so well known by all. Although there has been speculation about how the loss will be handled on the show, they will be retiring the character out of respect for the actress. We would like to think Mrs. Krabapple’s legacy speaks for itself. She may have been Bart Simpson’s rival, but she was the Joker to his Batman (Bartman). They needed each other in that sense. So what will happen next is up in the air, but this past week The Simpsons showed that this loss will be felt for a long time, and felt by all.
