Susan Sarandon Tells You What to Do to Look Good at Any Age

If there’s one thing the general public always wants to know from celebrities, it’s how they manage to age so gracefully, and Susan Saradon is a prime example of that. The star has been in the business for decades, and at 67, she’s as lovely as ever. The refreshing thing about Sarandon, too, is the fact that she’s aging pretty naturally. She may or may not use some of the most common non-surgical anti-aging treatments, but she’s definitely not one to go under the knife. She has a more honest opinion about what it takes to age well.

“If you want to age gracefully, you don’t smoke cigarettes and probably laugh a lot, and get the normal amount of exercise, and eat well and stay out of the sun…” she recently told interviewers when she was asked what it takes to age well. She goes onto say that living in New York City is helpful to her because she walks and rides her bike everywhere.

Her most honest take on looking amazing at any age? “As is having an amazing makeup and hair team, that’s really the secret,” she states. Well, there you go. You have to do all the things your doctor’s been telling you to do your entire life and you have to hire someone with a magic makeup wand and flat iron. It’s nice to hear a celebrity admit that professional help is what it takes to look so good all the time.

Sarandon also talks about her fitness routine, which is not the typical hiring of a personal trainer and four hours a day in the gym doing different training methods each day. She boxes. “Someone gave me lessons as a gift, then I continued, and I like it. I like the gym. It’s really fun with all the boxers, and it’s fun to hit – it’s a workout!”
