Taylor Swift’s Perfume is Designed to Leave Men Wonderstruck by the Scent of a Woman

Taylor Swift

Singer, songwriter, actress, perfume-maker; is there anything that Taylor Swift does not do? The answer to that is no; she does it all. The young superstar just celebrated her 25th birthday following the release of her newest album, 1989, and she’s got more to celebrate now than ever before. In true Taylor Swift fashion, the superstar does just about everything on her own. She writes her own lyrics, she dresses herself, and she even took such an intricate part in the development of her perfume, “Taylor Swift Wonderstruck,” that she might as well have bottled it and hand-engraved the name onto the bottle herself.

Most celebs do spend a great deal of time developing their signature fragrance, but it seems none took it quite as far as Swift. She didn’t just name the perfume after herself or put it in a pretty glass bottle that she glanced at quickly in a meeting or asked an assistant to do on her behalf. She so personalized this fragrance that it actually has a story behind it; a meaning and a deeper understanding for those who wear it. How is hers different than every other perfume on the market? Swift didn’t just create a scent she thought would be pretty. She created an entire lifestyle in a bottle.

The name came from a lyric in one of her songs about how she felt when meeting a guy for the first time. The light, woodsy scent is her personal favorite, and the entire concept was designed to help with first impressions. Wonderstruck is how she feels when meeting someone special for the first time, so she wanted to design a fragrance that helps to make a lasting first impression. Even the bottle is regal and elegant, much like Swift herself the way she presents herself to the public. The fragrance has been available for a few years now, but it seems more popular now than ever before. Perhaps it’s the sentimental reason behind the perfume that makes it one women want; combined with the woodsy scent, it’s the perfect perfume.
