Ten of the Most Famous Celebrity Pets

Celebrity Pet dressed up as Marilyn Monroe

Famous pets have been around for nearly as long as famous people.  For years, pets belonging to celebrities have enjoyed time in the spotlight, sometimes even becoming celebrities themselves. These famous pets can range from common household pets like cats and dogs, to exotic animals that most people will only see in the confines of a zoo.  Thanks to the Internet, many of these animals have formed personalities and found their way into the hearts of thousands of people who just can’t seem to get enough of these cute creatures.  Sadly, some of these pets have amassed a larger following than most of us could even dream of; however, in most cases it is very well deserved. Here are ten of the most famous celebrity pets.

10. CJ Thornton

7. Mike Tyson’s Tigers

Throughout his career, Mike Tyson has become known for making over-the-top purchases.  Among Tyson’s  strange purchases were Bengal tigers he once owned as pets.  Tyson bought the tigers for more than $100,000 and had to spend almost that feeding them for a year.  Although many people may not understand the logic in owning such a large pet, Tyson has proven that he isn’t always concerned with logic. In 2009, one of Tyson’s tigers actually appeared in the comedy film, The Hangover.
