Three Things you Didn’t Know about Sarah Michelle Gellar
Anyone even remotely close to my age grew up wanting to be her, and that probably hasn’t changed all that much over time. Sarah Michelle Gellar, or as we all remember her most – Buffy the Vampire Slayer – was the first woman on television to make being totally awesome look so good. She was good at what she did, and she’s the first and number one reason so many of us are obsessed with vampires (and she’s so much cooler than Twilight will ever be). Today she’s a little less vampire-slayer and a little more mom and wife. And it came as no surprise to anyone when the gorgeous actress we all wanted to be growing up married the actor we all wanted to marry growing up; she and Freddie Prinze Jr. have been married a long time, they have two kids, and life is pretty sweet. But we do have a few things you did not know about the actress.
She Loves Kristin Chenoweth
First of all, who doesn’t love this petite little actress? Secondly, it’s not that she’s obsessed with her or anything, but Sarah Michelle Gellar would only be okay with Buffy being on Broadway if the actress were to step into her feet and play the role of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
She Wanted to be Sabrina
When it came down to choosing who would be given the role of television’s Sabrina the Teenage Witch, it was going to go to Gellar. However, she wanted to play Buffy more, so the role went to the famous Melissa Joan Hart; another actress with three names.
She had a Class of Famous Friends
She grew up in New York City, so she was bound to have a few famous friends. But her classmates included the likes of Jerry O’Connell, Macauley Culkin, Christina Ricci and Tara Reid. And her school has had a lot of other famous faces, as well, over the years.
