Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Announce They are Expecting!
It’s big news for Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds! The couple is expecting their first child! Lively and Reynolds met in 2011 while filming their movie, “The Green Lantern,” and their relationship quickly progressed. They shocked the world when they were married in South Carolina in 2012 in a ceremony so private it took days for the media to find out. Since their wedding two years ago, the couple has been very outspoken about the fact that they want kids. In fact, Lively went on the record earlier this year saying, “If I could spit out a litter of kids, I would.”
It looks like she’s getting started now. The actress just announced her pregnancy this morning online. She posted a photo of herself standing in front of the setting set cradling her baby bump on her website, Preserve, along with a host of other photos featuring pregnant women. She congratulated all the ladies expecting their babies and then posted a photo of her own sizable bump.
The photo is courtesy of Lively’s brother, Eric. It also seems that the star hinted at the fact that she was pregnant earlier in August when she did an interview with Vogue. “He’s going to be a great father and leader and patriarch – he’s so meant to be all of those things. The fact that he lived so much before we got together, he’s the exact realized person that he should be. Ad so I get to share my life with the person he’s become, and we get to grow from there,” said Lively of her husband in her interview with Vogue.
The couple lives in Bedford, New York, and manages to keep a relatively low profile despite their mega-fame. They make public appearances only when promoting their new films or projects; otherwise, they stay out of the spotlight.
