‘Sons of Anarchy’ Casts Rocker Marilyn Manson in Recurring Role

Premiere For "Spring Breakers" - Arrivals

The seventh and final season of FX’s beloved motorcycle clan drama Sons of Anarchy‘s got underway on May 28 and there will be at least one new but familiar face. Marilyn Manson will recur on the show as Ron Tully, a white supremacist prison shot-caller who Jax works with to expand his power base and influence. Manson will debut on the show during the season premiere this fall.

Sons has been such a big part of my life, as well as my father’s,” Manson says in FX’s announcement. “So I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema. After all, the very heart of SOA is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle.”

Earlier this year, Sons showrunner Kurt Sutter hinted on a WTF Sutter webisode that the goth artist would somehow be involved in the drama’s last go-around.

This is not the musician’s first time acting. Manson has previously appeared on HBO’s baseball comedy Eastbound and Down, starring Danny McBride. “The Beautiful People” singer also lent his voice to ABC’s Once Upon a Time last season as The Shadow. Manson’s melodic and intense-sounding music has also been featured in numerous and diverse television programs, including Alias, Alphas, and The Following.

Sons of Anarchy returns to FX for its final season in September 2014.
