Amy Schumer

Amy Schumer is an American actress and comedian with an estimated net worth of $10 million. Born on June 1, 1981 in Manhattan, the actress is the daughter of Sandra Jones and Gordon Schumer. She was born on the Upper East Side, and she lived a life that was pretty enjoyable. Her mother and father owned a company that designed and sold baby furniture. Her father’s second cousin is U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer, her sister is a writer/producer and her brother is a musician. Raised in a Jewish household, she spent the vast part of her childhood living a very wealthy childhood with a lot of high-end luxuries. That all came to an end when she was nine; her parent’s business failed and her father was informed he suffers from MS.

Three years after their life changed for the worse, Amy Schumer’s parents divorced and she moved to Long Island where she attended school as someone that the teachers did not love. She was the class clown winner and she was voted “Teacher’s Worst Nightmare,” in class. It’s not a kind description, but it’s who she is. A Towson University grad, she lived in Baltimore for many years, and she began her career in New York City after she graduated in 2003. She began her stand-up career in 2004, and she also had a role in an off-Broadway comedy. However, despite her many years working in the business, she did not become very famous until she was on Last Comic Standing. She made a name for herself on the hit reality show.

From there, she had a number of guest appearances on hit television shows, made a bit of a name for herself in Hollywood and began working to become one of the more famous comedians. However, she would not find mainstream success until 2013 when she created the show Inside Amy Schumer. It began airing on Comedy Central in 2013, and people loved it. Amy Schumer’s fame grew rapidly following that, and by 2015 she was a household name. She was cast as the lead female character in a hit movie called Trainwreck, and then announced that she and Hollywood It-Girl Jennifer Lawrence would co-star in a film the comedian is writing. She hosted the 2015 MTV Music Awards in 2015, too, and she’s been on fire ever since. The actress and comedian is everywhere all the time right now, and it’s been in the past two years she has earned the vast majority of her net worth.

She knew she really made it in the business when she was named one of the most influential people in the 2015 Time Magazine article. She also made the list of most fascinating people as created by Barbara Walters, mostly for her sudden appearance in Hollywood and her rise from virtual unknown to one of the most famous faces in the business. She’s become a role model and an inspiration for many young women and girls in the past year, and it’s just part of the reason everyone loves her so much and she’s reached this level of fame in her career.
