‘Clueless’ Stars Reunite After 19 Years For Special Screening
It’s hard to believe it’s been 19 years since Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash, and Elisa Donovan made huge waves on the big screen in the hit 1990’s comedy ‘Clueless’. It’s been almost two decades since Cher Horowitz said “as if” and a billion other trends developed from the brainless movie. It’s a cult classic, what can we say!
This week Silverstone, Dash and Donovan reunited for the Los Angeles Film Fest’s free outdoor pre-festival screening of ‘Clueless’. They were even joined by director Amy Heckerling and costume designer Mona May joined the actresses for the event, which also included a Q&A session.
The three of them look amazing. Silverstone, 37, Stacey Dash, 47, and Elisa Donovan, 43, all looked way younger than their respective ages for the screening. It’s hard to believe that at the time of filming they were 18, 28, and 24 years old. What’s even harder to believe is the film is a loose-adaptation of Jane Austen’s 1815 novel Emma. Post-Clueless none of the three ladies went on to have major careers. In fact, the most successful actor in the entire movie might be Paul Rudd. Rudd was just 26-years old when he made his debut in that movie. He’s established a nice career for himself now.
Anyway, cheers to a nice reunion!
