What’s in the $80,000 Gift Bag for Losing Oscar Nominees?

resort

As if being a famous actor or actress and getting months and months of publicity and acclaim for being an Oscar nominee isn’t enough, losing Oscar nominees also get an over-the-top swag bag to enjoy. Not everyone of the chosen few can be Oscar winners but those who don’t take home the golden statuette can be winners in the amazing gift bag department.

This year marks the 15th that L.A.-based marketing firm Distinctive Assets designed the gift bags for the losing nominees in the Best Actor and Actress, Supporting Actor and Actress, and Director categories. This year’s batch of nominees in this area includes Christian Bale, Amy Adams, and Jennifer Lawrence from American Hustle, Matthew McConaughey for Dallas Buyers Club, Sandra Bullock for Gravity, and directors Alexander Payne (Nebraska), Steve McQueen (12 Years a Slave), and Martin Scorsese (The Wolf of Wall Street). Jonah Hill, a Supporting Actor nominee for Wolf was reportedly paid $60,000 to be in the film. If he does not take home the award, the swag bag he leaves with would be worth even more than his salary!

Let’s take a look at the goodies, as reported by Us Magazine.
