Which Dancing with the Stars Pro Isn’t Coming Back Next Season?

Dancing with the Stars fans are certain to be upset by this news. One of the pros with the longest history on the show is considering leaving after this season, and not coming back. It’s time for everyone’s favorite female pro to move on and to broaden her horizons, and it’s a sad day for the show.

Cheryl Burke’s contract with the hit ABC show is up after season 19, and she’s not sure she’s going to sign a new one. Of course, the network might make her an offer so good she can’t refuse, but she’s leaning in the opposite direction at the moment. She was the first pro to come onto the show and win back-to-back championships in seasons 2 and 3, and she’s been a serious contender most seasons ever since.

“It’s so hard for me to talk about because I have been part of this family for the last decade. You’ve seen me grow up on TV, doing what I love in front of millions of people. But I also feel the need to expand and challenge myself and do other things – not that this isn’t a challenge. It completely is!” she says of her time on the show. The pro was 20-years-old when she made her first appearance on Dancing and she’s been working hard for eight or nine months out of the year ever since. She’s 30 now, and she feels her life needs something a little different, and a little more.

“It’s hard. What his show has given me has been life-changing. I owe my life to this show,” she continues. We won’t know for certain whether or not she will be back for a 20th season until later in the year, but fans ought not hold their breath waiting for Burke to sign a new contract.
