It Was a Fresh Prince Reunion on Dancing with the Stars

It’s a Fresh Prince reunion! Last night on Dancing with the Stars, half of Alfonso Ribeiro’s television family came into the studio to watch their former family member compete on the reality series. While no one as famous as Will Smith was in the audience (though Ribeiro says Smith remains close to everyone on the cast even with his busy schedule and family life), Ribeiro was joined by his former television sisters Tatyana Ali and Karyn Parsons (Ashley and Hillary Banks) and their beloved butler, Geoffrey, Joseph Marcell.

The group came to the show to show their support of their onscreen brother, and who wouldn’t want to support the uptight, not-so-fun-loving Carlton Banks as he finally does something fun and entertaining?

“Joe’s here all the way from England. Just having all of them here was wonderful. They’re family to me. They’ll always be family,” said Ribeiro after the show. The Fresh Prince of Bel Air might have stopped airing almost 20 years ago, but that doesn’t mean that the cast hasn’t stayed close over the years.
My wife and Tati are friends,” he said in the past about his pregnant wife’s friendship with the actress who played his younger sister on the series.

“We all have such love for each other. Will actually rapped a birthday wish to my wife while we were all in Trinidad at Carnival for her birthday. He flew into Trinidad and hung out with us and we have a party and he got up and did a birthday rap for her. That’s the kind of stuff we do for each other and it’s just love – and that love is forever,” he said of his relationship with Will Smith, who was the main character in the show. Aside from the episode in which Ribeiro brought out “The Carlton” this had to be a fan favorite.
