Five Cities We Should Add to Real Housewives

2013 Bravo New York Upfront

Since launching its first show in 2006, The Real Housewives franchise has become a reality TV staple.  Consisting of six series (not including D.C., which was cancelled after just one season), The Real Housewives focusing on the lives of women living in different places throughout the country.  Although the concept for each series is the same, each spin-off features its own unique cast who is dealing with their own set of drama.  Since debuting in 2008 The Real Housewives of Atlanta has become the most popular spin-off in the franchise, and is also the most watched show on the Bravo network. However, despite great success, The Real Housewives has not launched a new American spin-off since the addition of The Real Housewives of Miami in 2011. As a result, many viewers are anxiously waiting to see which city will be added next, some even hoping the show comes to an area near them.  Here are five cities we should add to Real Housewives.

1. Las Vegas, NV

In the past, there has been rumors of Bravo casting for a Real Housewives of Las Vegas series, but nothing has ever panned out.  Also known as Sin City, Las Vegas,  has a reputation for being fun and devious – both qualities that have become common place in the Real Housewives franchise.  With its endless nightlife, and population of high rollers, a cast of women from the city of Las Vegas could prove to be endlessly entertaining.

2. Houston, TX

Houston’s urban environment, coupled with its traditional southern hospitality, makes the city a very unique place. Plus, with stars like Beyoncé calling Houston home, there has to be some very interesting characters in the area.

3. Boston, MA

Boston is a city full of history and culture.  While Bostonians are often seen as sophisticated, there is no secret that they’re also some of the toughest people in New England.  These factors, could easily create the perfect environment for a Real Housewives spin-off.

4. Connecticut

So, Connecticut isn’t a city, but neither is New Jersey.  Known as The Constitution State, Connecticut is so small that there really isn’t a city big enough  to stand on its own.  However, despite the state’s size, Connecticut has a reputation for being a breeding ground for pretentious housewives.

5. Nashville, TN

Nashville is the “home of country music”, and as a result the city is filled with lots of talented people.Plus, if the city is anything like the way it is depicted on the ABC series, Nashville, then a Real Housewives spin-off in the city is a must.
