Hosting gigs are not what they used to be. When you were a host back in the older days of television, that meant that was all you were. Now, hosting gigs on major shows seem to open up many other doors for the person hosting. A perfect example of that is Cat Deeley, who hosts So You Think You Can Dance. At first, she was turning heads with her good looks. Then, people slowly began to realize that there was much more going on under the surface than ever of us were giving her credit for. Here are five things you didn’t know about Cat Deeley.

She Used To Have Crush On Magnum P.I

Well, that was just his name on the show. The real actor was Tom Selleck. The man with the second best mustache ever on TV (just under Ron Swanson). The funny thing is, he is old enough to be her Father. Heck, maybe even her grandfather now. Keep in mind, she had this crush when she was just a kid.

Hosts Barefoot

Yup, they crop it out so you can’t see. But Cat Deeley is usually barefoot when hosting shows. Some say it is because of her height when standing next to smaller contestants. And some say she does it because she has a little bohemian in her. We would like to assume both to be true.

Is A VJ In MTV Europe

Wow, so they still use VJ’s in MTV Europe? Man, I thought all MTV’s were just shows now. Well, good for her. It just shows her versatility. We wonder if she is barefoot during that as well. But it’s true. Cat Deeley is a VJ in MTV in Europe. What that ultimately ends up being is someone who introduces a LOT of EDM music. God bless her soul.

On New Hulu Show Deadbeat

Hopefully we will be seeing much more of this hostess now that she is branching out even further into acting. She plays a supernatural medium on the show, and has been garnering good buzz for it so far. It is also one of Hulu’s first original programs. So a lot of first here.

Got Married in Rome in 2012

Though she is one of those celebrities who likes to keep her personal life, personal, this news was too huge to hide from the world. Seems Cat Deeley married her boyfriend in 2012 in Rome. Sounds like a storybook, doesn’t it? Check back with them in a year or to see if that’s changed. You know how fickle love can be. All kidding aside, the two seem very much in love and like nothing is set to change that anytime soon.
