Five Things You Didn’t Know about Faith Hill

ACM Presents: Tim McGraw's Superstar Summer Night - Show

You say the name Faith Hill now, and everyone stops what they are doing and perks their ears. Talented and beautiful, she is also a powerhouse behind-the-scenes, making things happen and keeping things running like a well oiled machine. And while some may know her as a country crooner and wife to fellow country star, Tim McGraw, there is plenty we don’t know about her.  Here are five things you did not know about country superstar Faith Hill

She Worked At McDonalds

We tend to look at fast food workers in our society as the lowest form of minimum wage. We don’t think that to be mean, it is just not a job most people would want. But guess what? Faith Hill started out working at the fast food chain early in her life. So the next time you look at a fast food employee, realize you could be buying their albums in ten years.

Almost Co-Starred With Mel Gibson

She got the role of Mel Gibson’s wife in the movie We Were Soldiers, but something came up with life and love and work, and she ended up having to giving up the role. She would continue to be interested in acting and landed a bit role in the remake of The Stepford Wives, which she is quite proud of.

Proposed To With Magic Marker

You would think Tim McGraw would do something amazing and epic and romantic to propose to one of the most beautiful woman in the world, but he went old-school. Before a show they were both doing, he asked her to marry him on her mirror, written in marker. That may sound lame, but when he came off-stage, the word YES was written in place of what he wrote.

Her Mom is Her Hero

Her Mom was one of those Moms who held down three jobs, worked all the time, did all she could, yet was still there for her kids. The main reason for this is because her Father could not read, which limited his ability to bring income into the home. So a very strong woman is what helped form her into a very strong woman.

Her Real Name Is….

Audrey Faith Perry. Still quite a lovely name, if you ask us. She knew she needed a stage name, but also didn’t want to completely lose her old self (and name) in that, so Faith Hill was born. A way of melding the new with the old. Seeing as to how massive and international a star she is now, seems she made a pretty good choice with that name change.

So remember, you see a woman who is a super star and think they were just born that way. Nope, Faith Hill flipped burgers for a living and had a Dad who didn’t know how to read. Just shows you anything is possible if your passion is strong enough.
